Ahhhh, the things we do for the ones we love.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ingredients\"><\/span><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2-4 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate (depending on how indulgent you&#8217;re feelin&#8217;&#8230; I love Endangered Species and Green &amp; Black)<br \/>\n&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.OR 2- 4 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder&#8211; Equal Exchange&#8217;s makes a magical product!<\/li>\n<li>1-4 Tablespoons Cane or Brown Sugar, Honey, Maple Syrup or Molasses if that&#8217;s your thang.<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 Teaspoon Salt<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup Boiling Water<\/li>\n<li>3 Cups Milk (Almond, Coconut, Whole&#8211; you choose)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Teaspoon Vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Optional\"><\/span><strong>Optional<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2- 3 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil<\/li>\n<li>Dash of Cinnamon with 2- 3 Drops of Orange Essential Oil<\/li>\n<li>Dash of Cayenne<\/li>\n<li>1 Tablespoon Whisky OR 1\/4 Cup Red Wine (I know, it&#8217;s okay. Let that one sink in.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the stomach is the way to the heart, then this drink will open yours and have you crying tears of joy and compassion like you wouldn&#8217;t imagine. Really. It&#8217;s a thing. Cacao has been used by the Olmecs and Mayans for centuries as a medicinal beverage, during ceremonies and rituals. Chocolate is an aphrodisiac, baby.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Feel_the_Love\"><\/span><strong>How to Feel the Love<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>1. Bring the milk to a gentle boil (in a double boiler if you&#8217;ve got one.)<br \/>\n2. Place the chocolate in a saucepan, add 5 tablespoons of hot water and stir until smooth.<br \/>\n3. Add the salt, sugar, and the remaining boiling water gradually. Do your best to keep the mixture smooth.<br \/>\n4. Let boil for 3- 5 minutes before adding the heated milk.<br \/>\n5. Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and beat for 30 seconds.<br \/>\n6. Bask in the love and praise you&#8217;re about to receive for serving this up!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s up to you to decide if whipped cream or marshmallows are a must!
