I couldn&#8217;t have done it without your positive energy keeping me strong in body &amp; in mind!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>XOXO your vintage\/running gal,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong> <em>SD<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hello and happy <strong>FRIDAY<\/strong> everyone!!!<\/p>\n<p>First, HUGE THANKS to all of you who watched and commented on your favorite head-to-toe vintage look from <a href=\"http:\/\/sammydvintage.com\/2011\/05\/vintage-fashion-outfit-ideas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">yesterday&#8217;s video at 1 of a Find Vintage.<\/a> I had so much fun with this video and can&#8217;t wait to produce more that inspire your own amazing style!<\/p>\n<p>Second, I have HUGE news for you all: I&#8217;m <strong>RUNNING THE <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pittsburghmarathon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PITTSBURGH MARATHON<\/a> THIS WEEKEND!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sammydvintage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/pittsburgh-marathon-e1305290345389.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-408986815\" title=\"pittsburgh marathon\" src=\"http:\/\/sammydvintage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/pittsburgh-marathon-e1305290345389.jpg\" alt=\"pittsburgh marathon timer\" width=\"500\" height=\"103\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Besides my obsession with all things vintage &amp; thrift, in the past year I&#8217;ve developed a passion for running.<\/p>\n<p>It was almost a year and a half ago that I declared <a href=\"http:\/\/sammydvintage.com\/2010\/01\/313104064\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">via my 2010 New Year&#8217;s Resolution<\/a> (see &#8220;try&#8221; resolution #3) that I would &#8220;run at least 3 times a week.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to today, and since declaring myself a &#8220;runner&#8221; I&#8217;ve learned so many valuable lessons about life that continue to shape me as a positive, driven individual. Running has given me\u00a0confidence and character through the discipline of setting goals and resulting demonstration to myself that I can accomplish whatever it is that I set out to do.<\/p>\n<p>And here&#8217;s the best part: You can do whatever it is that you want to do, TOO!<\/p>\n<p>I truly believe that we exist on this planet to celebrate the passions of one another. In that moment of admiration, I did not imagine myself to ever be &#8220;one of them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;m not the only one who has admired someone&#8217;s accomplishments, only to pass over the thought that we&#8217;d ever &#8220;be like them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s the thing: We can be whatever it is that we want to be.
