Halloween night was epic for many reasons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was epic for the first of many times, I successfully pulled off dressing like a man.<\/a><\/p>\n

It was also epic because I met a fellow vintage-lover, who taught me the ways of the \u201cZubaz.\u201d<\/p>\n

We were in the kitchen of a Halloween house party off Graham in Williamsburg, and the conversation went a bit like this:<\/p>\n

After meeting a random party-goer from Minneapolis with a costume inspired by a Harper\u2019s Bazaar spread<\/a> inspired by Tim Burton (for serious), we got to talking about vintage (for serious, of course).<\/p>\n

Random Party-Goer to Me:<\/strong> \u201cYou should totally talk to Shannon about Zubaz! She loves them!\u201d<\/p>\n

[except due to the deafening noise, I thought she was saying \u201cZuma\u201d or some version there-of]<\/p>\n

Me to Shannon:<\/strong> \u201cWhat are Zumas<\/em>?\u201d<\/p>\n

Random Party Goer:<\/strong> \u201cYOU DON\u2019T KNOW WHAT ZUBAZ ARE?!\u201d<\/p>\n

Shannon:<\/strong> \u201cYOU DON\u2019T KNOW WHAT ZUBAZ ARE?!\u201d<\/p>\n

[Yeah, it was that<\/em> serious]<\/p>\n

So after being publicly humiliated by the fact that I didn\u2019t know what the hell these \u201cZuma-Zuba-Zima-Zena-ZUBAZ\u201d things even were, I did a bit of research.<\/a><\/p>\n

Conclusion:<\/strong> Zubaz are the heterosexual male\u2019s acceptance of the zebra print \u2014 through football (and sports in general).<\/p>\n

Want a pair of these coveted babies?<\/a> Well, Shannon admitted that she became so obsessed with the pants, that she contacted the founders\/body-builders to buy them out of deadstock of the approaching double-decade old pants.<\/p>\n

She promised to give Sammy Davis Vintage an original (vintage) pair.<\/a> Should I wear them when the Phillies beat the Yanks tonight. Hell yes.<\/a><\/p>\n
